Star Bulk Carriers (SBLK), a Greece-based shipping company, reported after markets closed on Wednesday Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.18, down from the $0.35 reported last year and lower than the $0.21 estimated by Capital IQ analysts on average.

Revenue increased to $248.4 million for the September quarter, up from $188.5 million reported a year ago and higher than the $163.2 million Street estimate.

The company also said that it will pay a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per share on Dec. 16 to shareholders of record on Dec. 2. The last time the company paid a quarterly dividend was $0.015 per share in June 2012.
